The company’s portfolio comprises of media brands, digital media, online subscription information services, business intelligence, SaaS e-commerce software, and content marketing solutions.



NTG has been one of the key clients for DCT, where as a Digital Agency, we continue to be tested. The requirements of this market leader in the travel industry, needed a shift from technology services on multiple platforms to turnkey projects for specific functions within the company.

With its proven Digital Business Services approach, DCT deployed key senior resources and set-up a Project Management Office to ensure Northstar was able to gain most from DCT’s versatile service portfolio. It could be it a dedicated resource for ad operations across US and China, and a Clojure tech support to a ‘need based’ Kentico tech support model without having to commit to large teams.

Corporate Travel Calculator: As a leader in the travel industry, Northstar provides ready to use and updated information for Global Travel managers.

  • The existing method was a link to long pdfs and travel managers had to peruse through multiple pdfs to get the right information
  • DCT built a web-based real-time, quick, easy-to-use, and interactive dashboard has reduced the time to use and consume the data drastically
  • Basis the selections, managers can now export their selected data into excel or pdfs
  • All these selections were further tracked and integrated with Google Analytics to understand the dashboard usage, behavior and patterns.

Registrant Portal: Northstar continues to think ahead of its game and the need for a client registrant portal was just one such thought.

  • DCT built a complete visualization portal with an enterprise view for all NTG management and stakeholders including a ranking system
  • DCT also built granular unique client-specific dashboards which could only be accessed by NTG’s clients and use them to track their team performance across multiple products, timelineset upand program completion status

Salary Survey (interactive web-based tool): Northstar required an online tool which would use salary survey data across years and present it as an analytical offering on their website

  • DCT is solutioning and building a gated analytical tool for Northstar which will give multiple views across years to understand employee behavior and trends
  • This tool will encourage more registrations on the site through the gated approach
  • Useful analytics can be used by companies to understand employee trends, and behavior patterns, especially across multiple factors such as gender, age, and time spent.

Sales Guide: The sales vertical at Northstar required a ready to use platform which would help them make faster decisions around selling digital inventory across eNewsletters, Emails and Websites:

  • DCT is currently building a Sales Guide on MS Power BI which will bring in data from NTG’s consolidated report and serve ready to use impression and click level data aiding all the Sales groups
  • The challenge to bring and accurately match data across multiple verticals, years, ad positions, publishers, advertisers and the like was solved through collaboration with the NTG’s infra support team and business leaders
  • This portal once deployed will help NTG Sales managers use accurate information to sell better, and understand the advertiser, ad position, site level and deepen granular-level data mapped over years

Kentico Tech Support

  • DCT has been instrumental in offering a flexible tech support team for all Kentico sites at NTG.
  • DCT will also be participating in an overall Kentico upgrade activity ensure production continuity

Clojure Support

  • Clojure is a niche programming language resources for which could be expensive and hard to find.
  • DCT through this Digital Agency model was able to source, deploy and support the ongoing Clojure tech support for Northstar. All this was only after a proof of concept was successfully delivered

Ad Operations

  • DCT continues to offer Ad Operations trafficking support for NTG’s multiple websites and work closely with the Sales team in the US and China with minimal support.
