QA Automation Engineer – Playwright

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled QA Automation Engineer with 6+ years of overall experience in software testing and 3+ years of hands-on experience with Playwright. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in test automation, web application testing, and CI/CD integration, with the ability to design and maintain scalable automation frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright.

  • Build and enhance test automation frameworks for web applications.

  • Develop and execute functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end test cases.

  • Collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, and product owners to understand requirements and define test strategies.

  • Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines.

  • Analyze test results, identify defects, and work with development teams for resolution.

  • Ensure test coverage across multiple browsers and environments.

  • Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.

  • Prepare test reports and provide quality metrics to stakeholders.

  • Continuously improve testing processes, frameworks, and automation practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 6+ years of overall experience in Software Testing/Quality Assurance.

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with Playwright automation framework.

  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript.

  • Experience in designing and maintaining automation frameworks from scratch.

  • Strong understanding of Web UI Automation Testing.

  • Experience with API Testing using tools such as Postman, Playwright API, or REST Assured.

  • Good understanding of TestNG, Jest, Mocha, or similar testing frameworks.

  • Experience with Git, version control systems, and code review practices.

  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or GitLab CI.

  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

  • Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
